"I creates a city of my
own. Fragment by fragment in each canvas, I
construct a private urban space – seen, dreamt
of, anticipated, experienced."
"Architecture of the dream. Its immateriality
along with the transparent hues creates a staggering
vision – essence conflict. A clash between the
visible and the felt, the conscious and the
unconscious, the material and the amorphous.
My palette ranges from glistening blacks to
warm earth tones to sparkling pinks creating
an irrational world, which is at once sad and
beautiful.”—Edward Yashin
